Ability Central board member Tim Jin, a Cognixion Brainiac Council Member, joined Cognixion Founder and CEO Andreas Forslandin in a virtual TEDx talk titled What Did the Nonverbal Person Say to the Verbal Person? on November 11, 2020. Moderated by Santa Barbara TEDx organizer Mark Sylvester, their dialog focused on the power of Assistive Augmentative Communication (AAC) technology to unlock speech for the many people worldwide affected by communication disabilities.

UCLA’s partnership with Ability Central supported the Autism Media Lab as the first UCLA Disability Studies Inclusion Lab in 2018. The TEDx talk furthers the conversation on how to bring all non-speaking people into full inclusion.
