BEWell Parklet Accessibility Audit Workshop

The SEMEL HCI BEWell Pod, UCLA Transportation, and cityLAB-UCLA have teamed up to transform an underutilized sidewalk in front of Medical Plaza 100 into a vibrant new parklet designed for rest, connection, and well-being. Created with students in mind, the space supports a range of activities—from quiet study and stretching breaks to social interaction and pop-up events like coffee carts and wellness programming.

This Accessibility Audit Workshop invites you to help assess how the BEWell Parklet supports safety, comfort, dignity, and independence for all users. Together, we’ll explore how the space works across different abilities and experiences, and identify small but meaningful ways to improve access and inclusion—through thoughtful design and shared insight.

Access Information: Visual materials with descriptions and tactile materials will be available.  ASL interpreters will be present at the workshop.
