Bold Beauty Project: Calling for UCLA Volunteers

A flyer for the Bold Beauty Project at UCLA. At the top, there is a photograph of a woman lying on a white surface with scattered red rose petals. The flyer answers "What is the project about?" and "What's in it for you?" Along with a details for the informational meeting.

Informational Meeting February 10th held in Ackerman Union Room 2408.

The Bold Beauty Project pairs photographers with women with disabilities to create powerful, vivid portraits that highlight each woman’s unique personal story. The goal of this initiative is empowerment: to challenge societal perceptions of beauty, amplify the voices of women with disabilities, and celebrate their strength and individuality through art. Past iterations of the Bold Beauty Project have been successfully hosted at Columbia University, the University of Miami, and other locations, and we are thrilled to bring this meaningful initiative to the UCLA community.

We are currently seeking female models with ongoing disabilities, 18 years old and above, who would be interested in participating in this empowering artistic project. We would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word about this opportunity. If you know of students in your department who might be interested in participating, or if you could share this information in your department newsletter or other outreach channels, it would help us connect with potential participants and contributors. We have attached a flyer to this email to facilitate distribution.

In addition to seeking models, we also welcome individuals without disabilities who are interested in contributing to the project in other meaningful ways, such as assisting with event planning, outreach, or creative support.
