UCLA Tarjan Center Access Webinar Series: Turning the Page: Using the College Library to Drive Neuroinclusive Campus Design

As part of the UCLA Tarjan Center’s ongoing collaboration with the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, we’re excited to share their upcoming ACCESS webinar:
Turning the Page: Using the College Library to Drive Neuroinclusive Campus Design
The ACCESS webinar series is designed for professionals in higher education and focuses on practical strategies for creating college classrooms and campuses that support the success and inclusion of neurodivergent students. This webinar will extend principles of universal design beyond the classroom and into broader campus spaces, with a focus on college libraries as a model for inclusive design. Speakers will share how they have reimagined library spaces with neurodivergent students in mind, including their processes for gathering student input, navigating challenges, securing funding, and implementing changes.
Participants will leave with concrete, actionable ideas, including strategies that can be implemented immediately or at low cost. The session will also cover common scenarios that arise in libraries and other public campus spaces, along with best practices for supporting neurodivergent students in those settings.
Captioning will be available.
The webinar will take place on Tuesday, April 21 from 10:00-11:30am (PT). Please see the attached flyer for more details and register here.
We also encourage you to share this opportunity widely across your campuses and networks. If you have any questions, please email tarjancenter@mednet.ucla.edu.
