UCLA Tarjan Center Distinguished Lecture Series: YOU CAN’T HAVE INCLUSION WITHOUT MUSIC

As part of the Distinguished Lecture Series from the UCLA Tarjan Center, Dr. Ifunanya Nweke will deliver a lecture called "You can't have inclusion without mustic" The lecture will occur on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 12-1pm PST on Zoom for free. By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to: 1. Understand how music performance serves as a compressed timeline for demonstrating social resilience 2. Identify critical systems-level gaps and evaluate a four-tier certification model to address these gaps 3. Apply the principle that “belief determines access, and access determines outcomes” to advocate for music performance opportunities.
