Meet Professor Helen Deutsch, UCLA Disability Studies Faculty.

Professor Deutsch aims to explore the concept of disability as it was understood in the early modern period, particularly the 18th century. She advocates for the continuation of critical disability studies as an interdisciplinary effort, involving collaboration between the Humanities and fields such as Law, Architecture, and Medicine.
