Meet Professor Salih Can Açıksöz, UCLA Disability Studies Faculty.

Professor Açıksöz’s research examines the intersection of gender, disability, and political violence, as well as the cultural and political impact of the growing visibility of prosthetic limbs in media. He aims to collaborate with scholars in engineering, medicine, and design to enhance access to prosthetic limbs.
