UCLA student, Madeline Utter, was recognized in the Wikipedia Foundation’s blog post for her work in Professor Elizabeth Guffey’s class, Performance and Disability Studies. Students were tasked to research/rewrite problematic representations of disability and performance on Wikipedia. Madeline rewrote the article about the 1988 film, Rain Man, correcting the public record around Savant Syndrome and autism spectrum disorder.
