Disability and Labor
ABOUT
Underemployment and employment discrimination are pressing issues affecting people with disabilities. We are interested in developing activities and partnerships that examine the structural, cultural, and policy issues affecting people with disabilities in the workforce.
We invite partnerships with faculty, students, staff, and community members to explore how best to engage the campus community in dialogue and action around issues of disability and labor.
Advocating for equitable workplaces
We recently started working with Hand in Hand as a resource in this area, based on their work with employers of nannies, housecleaners, and home attendants to create dignified and respectful working conditions.
Exploring new labor realities

JOIN THE LAB
We are interested in exploring employment barriers, pay equity, accommodation, as well as the cultures of access that shape the experiences of people with disabilities in the workplace. Connect with us to learn more and get involved.
