Research Team

Caitlin Solone is the former Academic Administrator for the Disability Studies program, and Principal Investigator for the SoMMA Lab. As an academic administrator, she taught courses, developed curriculum, and engaged in collaborative research. She earned her PhD from UCLA and Cal State LA’s Joint Doctoral Program in Special Education. Prior to coming to UCLA, Dr. Solone was a special education teacher for eight years at an inclusive public school in Los Angeles.

Emily Frake (Ph.D. University of California, Los Angeles) recently earned her Ph.D. in Special Education and is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities at Baylor University.

Arezo Ahmadi (B.S. University of California, Los Angeles) is a recent graduate of the Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology, Disability Studies, and Global Health departments at UCLA. Her research interests include Deaf studies and cell biology.

Chandler Webster (B.A. University of California, Los Angeles) is a recent graduate of the Psychology and Disability Studies departments at UCLA. Her research interests include social relationships and prejudice reduction.
